Pozo Izquierdo is the most famous windsurfing beach in Gran Canaria and one of the most famous in the world. For more than 20 years, windsurfers from all over the world have traveled to Pozo Izquierdo. The consistency of the Trade winds, the local hospitality, the good weather and the presence of the best riders in the world, make the beach of Pozo Izquierdo an excellent destination for windsurfing. If you want to have a reliable forecast during your vacations, come to Gran Canaria, come to Pozo Izquierdo and take your windsurfing to another level.
Pozowinds is located in a privileged place, just 50 meters from the beach. It's well known for the strong wind and wave conditions, where we offer you the newest windsurfing equipment rental. Everything you need for windsurfing is available in the store, from boards and sails to the latest accessory you can imagine.
The Trade winds (northeast direction) blow day after day almost all year round, making sure more than 300 windy days a year. The Shop offers some Cold drinks, Beers , Coffe and Tea so you can hydrate yourself before and after every session.
If you bring your own gear we have storage where your gear is safley stored and in reach, next to the spot!

Mobile windsurfing center in a flat water paradise
Gran Canaria is not only Pozo Izquierdo, so Pozowinds has vehicles that provide you with all the equipment in other spots for all levels. We are usually located in a flat water place that is only 5 kilometers from the beach of Pozo Izquierdo, called "Bahía de Formas".
The wind is always a bit lighter than in Pozo, and it's always flat, what makes this spot a perfect place for slalom, freestyle, freeride and especially for beginners. Bahía de Formas, is perfect for intermediate levels too, here you can practice and improve your skills in an excellent environment, with the best equipment and advice.
Bahía is a point of easy access, accessible to all levels, where the fourteen times World Champion Björn Dunkerbeck goes for slalom training.
